Founded in 1913, Te Awamutu Association Football Club (Te Awamutu AFC) is one of the oldest football clubs in the Waikato region, proudly reflecting over a century of football tradition and community spirit. Our mission is to provide professional coaching, quality equipment, and excellent facilities for players of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re seeking competitive play or a fun, social football environment, we have something for everyone.
We operate across three locations in Te Awamutu: The Stadium, Armstrong Avenue (our main base with clubrooms) Anchor Park, Alexandra Street (secondary field) Sherwin Park, Swarbrick Drive (home to our junior players) Te Awamutu AFC welcomes players of all ages, from as young as 4 to seniors 65 and beyond, providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy football in a supportive and social environment. In 2023, our Men’s Over 35s team proudly claimed the title of Waikato Plate Champions! The club has also experienced significant growth, expanding from 17 junior teams to around 30 in recent years.
