Welcome to Te Awamutu AFC
Founded in 1913, Te Awamutu Association Football Club (Te Awamutu AFC) is one of the oldest football clubs in the Waikato region, proudly reflecting over a century of football tradition and community spirit.
As we enter 2025, our club is thriving with six senior teams, including:
- Men’s Premier in WaiBOP League One
- Men’s Division 2/3
- Men’s Division 4
- Men’s Over 35s
- Women’s Division 1
- Women’s Division 2
In addition to competitive teams, we run a variety of programs year-round, including:
- Skills Centre
- McDonald's NZ Football Expleo First Kicks
- Fantails (Girls’s introductory football)
- Indoor football at Te Awamutu College
- Waikato Cakes Summer 5-a-side for Juniors and Seniors
Our mission is to provide professional coaching, quality equipment, and excellent facilities for players of all ages and abilities. Whether you’re seeking competitive play or a fun, social football environment, we have something for everyone.
We operate across three locations in Te Awamutu:
- The Stadium, Armstrong Avenue (our main base with clubrooms)
- Anchor Park, Alexandra Street (secondary field)
- Sherwin Park, Swarbrick Drive (home to our junior players)
From players as young as 4 to seniors aged 65 and beyond, Te Awamutu AFC offers opportunities for everyone to enjoy football while being part of a supportive, social club. Our Men’s Over 35s team even celebrated the victory as the Waikato Plate Champions in 2023!
